De-escalation Workshop for Students | “Assertiveness, Confidence in Action, and Setting Boundaries in Unpleasant and Threatening Situations”
The workshop will take place in cooperation with the Gender*Equality Team and is part of this year's CAMPAIGN DAYS 2025 Against Sexualized Harassment, Discrimination and Violence.
Facilitator’s announcement:
Even though many students generally feel safe in the university environment, unpleasant or unsettling situations cannot be ruled out here either. Crossing verbal boundaries, threatening behavior, or intrusive advances are just a few examples. This workshop provides and develops, together with participants, practical and appropriate options for action in such and comparable situations.
A basic willingness to actively participate and to try out practical exercises is required – always in line with the principle of voluntariness.
Participants will learn to recognize potentially threatening situations at an earlier stage, to assess them more realistically, and to respond with greater clarity, confidence, and competence.
